Today I released a new version of imgZoom. It’s just a minor update that fixes one bug and introduces the getOptions() API method.
I have also updated the documentation — it now includes a reference of the available API methods.

I really like ImgZoom. I’ve tried a bunch a jquery image zoomers and ImgZoom works the best for me. However, I have one issue. On Firefox 3.5 it is loading the images twice if the image hasn’t been seen before. I’ve seen this problem with FF before and it’s quite annoying. If you use an image multiple times on a page it won’t pull it from the cache until the next time you visit the page. On IE 8 it loads the image twice, but you will normally get a 304 on the second image load which isn’t so bad, but still just loading the image once would be best.
It’ll be good to add property – some shadow or border at zoomed picture. Picture is merging into the background. Overlay helps a little, but it works slowly
